History
The foundation of the cryptography group started in the late 1990s when Ahto Buldas, Peeter Laud, Helger Lipmaa, and Jan Willemson (none of whom worked at the university full time) started to teach cryptographic courses. The actual group started around 2011-2012 when Helger Lipmaa and Dominique were hired full-time.
